Over the past six years, WID Scholarship has invested more than $150,000 in the future of defense. Each scholarship helps to lay the foundation for the next generation of women entering the defense industry.
Our 17th Annual Scholarship Golf Outing in July added another $25,000 to this mission, with more than 144 golfers supporting women heading into defense-related fields.
From cybersecurity analysts and aerospace engineers to intelligence officers and defense contractors, the WID Michigan Scholarship program turns potential into careers that strengthen national security while breaking long-standing barriers.
Each scholarship represents WID’s unwavering commitment to uplifting women in national security and increasing diversity in government, academia, and the defense sector. The scholarship program not only encourages women to pursue careers related to national security, but it also gives them the tools they need to succeed.
We are thankful for every person involved in making this year’s golf outing a success. We’re grateful to have a great volunteer committee whose hard work ensures we can support women shaping the future of defense.
